Hello friends, I hope you're doing well!
I'm currently recovering from a cold, so apart from resting and staying warm, I thought it would be a good time to spruce up my event portfolio.
For those not in the convention/art market space, an event or market portfolio (in this setting) is a website, document or online drive that showcases an artist's best products and booth display for in-person events such as artist alleys or art markets. It's usually submitted alongside event applications, and is a huge part in determining whether or not an artist will vend at an event!
I've been doing in-person events for just over 1.5 years now, and have attended 21 markets so far (with a few more scheduled for this year!). This means I have a lot of photos and products in my lineup, especially as someone who likes to change their table display every so often. In fact, earlier this year I announced some designs that will be leaving my product rotation as I release new items. You can also find these products in this section of my online shop.
As you probably know, I love sharing my artist and small business journey online, and rather than cramming my portfolio with every single market photo and reflection I have (and there are a lot..), I thought it would be best practice to keep it as concise as possible. So instead, I've saved all the rambling and many photos for a new page. Welcome to my market journey! You can find this in the "news & archives" dropdown menu on any page of the website. 😊
This compilation was definitely made more out of self-indulgence than necessity, but I honestly had so much fun putting this together. I've never seen all of my market photos and table setups in a timeline like this, and seeing it this way for the first time has made me so happy with all of my progress in the event space as a small business thus far.
I'm not sure if it's really of interest to anyone else, but personally I love seeing artists' table evolutions so I thought it would be nice to share publicly as well! If you're also a fan of artist alley vlogs, I've inserted some of my relevant YouTube videos within the article!
