🦋 welcoming in 2026 🦋

Hi friends, I know we're already at the end of February, but today I felt like writing about the direction I want to take Abracadeborah in this year. The past month has been quite a lot for me, and unfortunately I feel like I lost track of my goals amongst all the chaos that life threw at me.. So I'm using this post as a way to announce my intentions for 2026, as well as remind myself of what I want to achieve this year, in hopes that I can get back on track before the start of next month! 😄

You may have already watched my 2025 Artist Recap video (in which I also talked about my goals for this year), but I have so many new projects and ideas that I want to tackle in 2026! I feel that the business rebrand I did late last year provided me with the much needed clarity in choosing a direction for Abracadeborah and The Honey Mustard Club. Hopefully you'll come along as we unfold these new chapters!

My brand forecast for 2026 involves multiple new product collections that are more functional, customisable, and intentional. I'm hoping to offer items that provide more value to customers yet still align with my own interests and art style (which I'm still discovering for myself). I've already launched a few products for a new collection just this month, and am very happy with how they turned out, with plans for more releases this year.

Moving forward, I also want to refine my art style and work on my technical drawing skills. When running a business (even an art based one), it can be difficult finding time to improve as an artist. I've never been quite happy with my own art style and this is something I want to actively take steps to resolve this year by doing studies, shifting my subject matter, and analysing other artists' styles and works.

As for my income, I'm still invested in doing markets and am hoping to vend at at least one interstate market this year. By shifting the themes and style of my art slightly, I also want to make preparations for events that are typically outside of the usual artist alley, as I'm finding art markets and conventions are quickly becoming more and more saturated with artist applications (what a wonderfully creative world we live in!). Don't forget you can find all my upcoming events on the home page!

I'm still enjoying creating YouTube videos to share with everyone. Although it's become a small revenue stream for me, my main focus remains on sharing my journey with others and interacting with the art community. This year, I want to create a wider variety of videos that focus less on markets and more on creating and improving my art.

My passion for The Honey Mustard Club continues to ebb and flow, however I'm determined to relaunch the business and create a new flagship collection this year. I still truly believe that I can make it into something great!

Finally, the last notable thing I'd like to mention is my intention of starting a monthly mail club! Artist subscription services are not new, however I feel like mail clubs have exploded in popularity not too long ago. Mail clubs provide a more stable income form compared to many other revenues that artists' typically have, and I definitely need something more stable this year. For this reason, I'm hoping to learn how to write newsletters and post more short-form videos to promote my projects and connect with others. In saying that, if you want to stay in the loop, I've added an email sign-up form on the home page. I promise not to spam you - I've still got to learn how to use it first!

Even if I'm not able to achieve all of my goals this year, I'm sure that 2026 will provide many learning experiences and opportunities, especially to those who are willing! Do you have any goals for 2026? How has the year been for you so far?

Lots of love, Abracadeborah
